Know by Heart Game Review

“Know by heart …” is an experience about acceptance of losing. It’s an amalgamation of plot and music. The real-time gameplay, an atmospheric mini-game, and the music create the impression that you can go back to childhood. You feel as though you are growing older, but all time passes by in our hands.

In the game, players are immersed in the tranquility in a typical provincial Russian town, where remnants as well as echoes from the Soviet times can still be heard and seen.

Misha, the protagonist, is stuck in his monotonous life-sucking job until one day , the routine destroyed when the girl from school returned to the town. For the first time since his childhood Misha finds a way to escape the monotony of daily day life. A brief but tumultuous event in the history of the town is interwoven with the story of a group of childhood friends coming back together. It’s their responsibility to journey down memory lanes and reconnect with their friends, but their memories of their past as well as the bond between them are threatened…

A nostalgic initiative headed by Ayrat Zakirov, who is the Chief Technology Officer from Ice-Pick Lodge. The game’s events will unfold in the Russian province. The main character, Misha, is about to reconnect with his childhood group of friends after having spent a lot of absence. Together they will revisit past memories, find common ground, and rekindle their bonds. However, this joyful reunion will soon be ruined because of something that’s beyond their reach.
